This is my favorite part of our house: The corner with the hurricane lamp and the picture window beside it, a photo of Rein and me on our honeymoon, and framed baby pictures of us on the wall above. Like a shrine, I find myself passing by this corner everyday before leaving for work. It's like facing both the past and the present all at once.
It's hard putting into words what I feel about my life today. When it comes to marriage, some people gush and some people gripe. I do both from time to time, but on the whole, I wouldn't have it any other way. As always, I find myself looking to my favorite songs to express my thoughts and feelings.
